The idea for this star pattern came to me shortly after our Norway vacation. One of my long-time dreams was to go to Svalbard, Norway, and that happened in 2012. I drew this star pattern based on the broken ice from icebergs using the iceberg colours and Norwegian designs.

This pattern could be used as a Nordic quilt pattern as well.

This pattern could create a number or star patterns AND quilt layouts depending on the colours you choose.

Shattered Star quilt pattern makes a 10 inch x 10 inch star quilt block.

It is perfect for stand-alone projects such as a wall hanging, table runner, pillow or a bag. It can be just as easily incorporated into a larger quilt.

The pattern for this paper pieced quilt block is made and tested by me. It is in colour and clearly numbered. A diagram is also provided in the pattern.  There is a colour sheets attached to the pattern for you to test your colour palette on.

Basic instructions for foundation paper piecing are not included in the pattern.
