I love sailboats.  I see them as giant winged birds floating in the sea.  Many a year ago I even fancied taking sailing lessons.  I even had my husband teach me how to swim. However, that ended up having quite a different effect.  I became addicted to swimming and spent a lot of time at the pool.  I became a fairly decent swimmer, but the plans for learning how to sail fell by the wayside.

The outside temperature has been around 40C (104F) lately and I am determined not to expose myself even a little bit to the hot sun.  The quilts are all put away.  Even my quilt-addicted kitties are rolling up their mini quilts so they can sit on the cool, bare surfaces.  Yes, they bundle up their quilts with their forepaws when they don’t want to use them.  Hot summer days are perfect for rummaging through photos.

Purchase Summer Swim Pattern

I am not the athletic type by any means, but I LOVE swimming!  It’s really like an addiction for me.  As soon as summer comes around, there’s only one thing on my mind – it’s swim season and I can’t wait to swim every day!

I used to carry my swim gear in an old tote bag that I acquired on one of my innumerable trips to the San Diego Zoo when we lived in San Diego.  This year I noticed that it got a long tear at the bottom.  Well, I just had to sew a bag to tote my swim gear in!
