October is here.  Alongside mostly cooler days, I have spotted colour changes in the leaves here and there.  I will soon be out and about a LOT more with my camera and paintbrushes, capturing the quintessential autumnal colours and enjoying not only my favourite seasons, also my most favourite festival – Halloween!  After being homebound for close to six months during spring and summer due to severe allergies, I look forward to this every year with much excitement.

Every October, my attention gets blown around like a leaf in the wind and I continuously find myself in the midst of stories, but not necessarily stories made of words.  This Wandering Camera reflects that.

One late afternoon, with rain clouds outside my window, I was practising painting a sunrise after a clearing storm over the mountains of a distant land.  Unintentionally I tend to I create shapes in the painted clouds.  This time I painted a peacock.

Purchase Shattered Star Pattern

You are probably aware of my love for the night sky.  The life cycle of a star is a particular interest of mine.  The initial idea of this star came from visiting the Esmark Glacier near Svalbard up close, and seeing the sharp edges on the ice shards floating away from the glacier.  My mind (some might call it overimaginative at this point!) could not help but think of a supernova.  So came the idea of Shattered Star.

Thank you so much everyone, for the get well wishes, all those good vibes definitely helped!  I finally started feeling a lot better earlier this week, after almost a week and a half of being sick.  Now only a little sniffle and a bit of stuffy head remains.  Last week I planned out my one-block WIPs, and I am very happy to share the first finished project with you today.  I started to work on it slowly as the cold left me.
