Hi Everyone!   Recently I pulled out the blocks for one of  my quilts which had been stashed away for a very long time in the hope of finishing them soon.  I finished this little painting using fountain pen inks, looking forward to  sharing my findings with you.   To wrap it all up, I have a pair of little wild flowers.

Let’s start with the Garden Path quilt.  I had the quilt layout design done long ago.  It was inspired by the gardens I had visited in the UK.  Some of those gardens really look like fairies live there.

Over the past few weeks, I took stock of all the projects that are shoved inside my cabinets and shelves.  I was not the least bit surprised to find quite a few forgotten ones.  I love to play with new ideas. That of course comes at the cost of unfinished projects, no matter how much I despise having them around.  I picked some of them to be my current work-in-progress projects.

Preferring much cooler weather, summer is not my most favourite season, really. We don’t travel during summer and most of my time is spent indoors during this time. Therefore, over time, this has become my most productive time of the year. I do stretch my legs during very early summer mornings to avoid cabin fever, and I get to experience some of the most beautiful sunrises at our local park.

Lately it has been wet around here and my plans for planting our now fairly bare garden have been stagnant.  In the meantime, I moved on to working on a little indoor flower project.  This is another one of those long-forgotten quilts.  I designed my favourite flower quilt patterns in the style of stained glass window panels.  As I was drawing the flowers, they took on shapes of mineral crystals.  Since I love geology, the blocks are all named after my favourite minerals – Garnet Primrose, Kyanite Iris, Olivine Tulip and Selenite Clematis.  I made the initial blocks with the Downton Abbey fabrics.
