Hi Everyone!  I am really excited to share photos of this painted bookshelf with you this month.  I love the romantics of magic and chose to paint a bookshelf. Specifically, a magician’s bookshelf.   I love to and tend to do a lot of research for my work.   I had a fantastic time looking into alchemy and magic.

I had planned on making a bag and writing a new pattern last week.  Except last week was fraught with frustration concerning a simple industry-standard modification that I wanted done to my web hosting account.  After 3 days of continuous circulatory, nonsensical conversation with tech support, I decided to move my account to another company altogether.  This was long overdue. Working over the weekend with the wonderful support group of this new company, my websites were moved to their new home.

Oil painting was definitely not an option for me because of the odoriferous fumes generated from traditional oil painting products.  So for the longest time I shied away from oil.  When I learned about water soluble oil where the paint washes off with just water, I had to give that a try.  I thought I’d share my approach and experience with you in case you have wanted to try oil paining but, just like me, didn’t take the plunge due to the fumes.
